Help Hardware

I have a Samsung Galaxy Luna model number: SM-S120VL I purchased through Straight Talk Wireless. I'm curious, because I know in the past I've installed suspicious applications containing malware. What effects on device hardware would malware pose a risk? I've performed a factory/hard data reset multiple times, and even in the reboot stage, during device set up, it will slightly lag. What could be the underlying problem (If any)? Which hardware can be affected by malicious installations, accidental tapping of adware, or even from visiting a malicious website?

Your phone is clean after each factory reset. The lagging issue might have been caused by the app updates after the reset.

Malware will not affect the hardware at all. If you installed something that was able to modify the ROM however a factory reset would not fix it (all a reset does is wipe user apps and data, and doesn't affect the system software in any way, including not undoing any changes). So in that case you would need to reflash the phone software to remove it.

But as said above, it may be nothing to do with your previous problems.
