Has answering a call changed?

Lurker
I have an original HTC Incredible and one thing I don't like is that when the phone rings and the phone is in my front pocket or otherwise concealed, walking or in the car, I often disengage the call accidentally by unintentionally swiping the phone before getting it out.

I'm looking at the the HTC One X, Sam 3 or waiting on the Razr HD when it is released. Do all these phone answer a call the same way? One thing I like on the iPhone is that the "unlock" seems more precise than the swipe. Thanks for any insights to this. Don't live near any corporate Verizon stores so haven't had a chance to try these out yet.

Well you can always change the way the call gets answered using several apps in the market. You can change it to answer/decline buttons like the iPhone, or you can change it to a downward swipe instead of a sideward swipe, or you can change it to a pattern, there's lots of options that it won't matter what phone you get.

Slide to unlock still does exist, however, like chanchan05 said, you can get some apps, probably for free, that can change how you answer a call.

Thanks for the tips - I knew there were apps out there so will search when the time comes. Really anxious to see the Razr HD/HD Maxx release. Used Motorola radios for 30 yrs in emergency services and if any of that quality has remained then the phone will be excellent. Am particular about reception and voice quality.

The Razr has some of the best service/quality out there, the radios are just excellent.

I am currently using a Galaxy Nexus, and people complain so much about the poor signal quality. Definitely going with Razr for quality radio is a good idea.
