Has anyone else had their Dolphin Browser hijacked?

This happened to my wife's Dolphin browser too. She uses it extensively. I use mostly Chrome, but Dolphin works fine on my tablet. So not everyone is affected?

I'm looking at Lightning.
+ 1 for lightning browser:
  • OPEN SOURCE
  • Fast (faster than Firefox, similar to chrome)
  • Inverted mode gives white text on black background to save juice on amoled devices (unlike chrome which has no inverted mode)
    • settings / advanced / rendering mode / inverted
    • Doesn't invert most photos... they look normal the way you want them to
    • It does render photos initially inverted for a brief time and then makes a 2nd pass to uninvert them... so they might look odd for just a moment.
    • A few photos and videos get messed up. In that case I go to another browser or switch settings
  • Free version available
  • Ad blocking in the pro version... well worth a few bucks imo
  • The adblocking and inversion features don't slow it, unlike firefox which seems to get slower as you add addons.
  • A few minor downsides
    • Bookmarks are not sync'd outside the device (but you can export/import bookmarks)
    • Arranging your bookmarks into folders is slightly clunky...takes some getting used to.

I just don't use "free" Chinese web browsers.
Just to be clear, you're saying Dolphin is programmed in China?

A few years ago Dolphin was caught passing all visited URL's unencrypted to a remote server. After it was publicized that quickly stopped, but I think if they have intention to gather that info they can pass it encrypted and no-one will be able to know what info they're sending.
