I have a 3 year old, so that's sadly not an option! I think I'm going to forgo that one for something like the caseology skyfall. I had a dual layer caseology case for my s7e and loved it. The phone stayed in pristine condition even after many falls, often onto hard surfaces and sometimes from several feet.


It won't have the same feel of luxury though...
 
i linked to a channel that has covered many cases for the note 8. trying to recommend something to people online is futile as there are so many different reasons why one case may work for someone and not for another.

do you want samsung brand? or do you want 3rd party? if you want samsung brand, i suggest the rugged case from sammy. i have that one and its really of high quality. there are online visuals on youtube to show its construction.

do you want a kickstand? do you want over all protection with the screen and the phone? spigen has cases that envelope the entire phone.

agan so many options out there..

the alcantara case works for me as a daily driver. of course i dont have any children nor do I work in harsh environments. if I want top protection, the samsung military grade case works for me.

reason I chose the samsung brands is because i have a samsung phone, and I want the brand and quality. as always YMMV... :)
 
NOOOOOO!!!! I finally got my tech21 wallet case, which I loved with my last 2 notes, but they changed the design on this and cannot be used in landscape mode unless I'm holding it because the "kickstand" design is no more!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I put an order in for an older box like 2 days after I put in the order for the phone. Low and behold i dropped it the day before it got here and left a small crack in the upper right hand corner of the screen

They do exist. I've got BB gift cards burning a hole in my pocket, but I don't think I can drop $50 on a case without drop protection. (they're out of the other colors)

Anyone get a screen protector on this thing yet? I just tried one with this so called spray formula and wow talk about a nightmare! It causes dust to attack it like a magnet as soon as you spray it on after a wipe down. Just about impossible to put on a shield with a dust particle under 0/2 hope Amazon refunds me for this. Was just curious if anyone has had any luck with a good one they can recommend?
 
I purchased the LED (Samsung) case from Best Buy. I had also ordered a leather one from Amazon that was really a nice feel.... but sending that back. I love this LED case. It shows you the time on the front of the case and you can also customize your caller ID. This case feels perfect! The only thing I would change, if it wouldn't get in the way would be to have a 2nd card slot (instead of the one). I'm set!
 
I'm using a GPEL case friendly glass screen protector and so far it has fit very nicely with the snap on case I am using. As to the case, I don't know how well it would hold up to hard use but I am not looking for a case to protect my phone should it be thrown across the room or dropped off a building either. I want my phone to look nice while being protected against the rare whoops getting out of my car. I believe this should be able to handle that task. And if it can't, well it wasn't too expensive.

I would have tried this LED case but it doesn't have the kickstand feature to view in landscape which I use constantly. It's dumb because the Samsung look-thru case does and it's basically the same design except for the front. I didn't get that one either because it's a fingerprint magnet and I hate fingerprints.

I used that type of screen protector on my s7 edge. I applied it in the bathroom with the shower blasting at max temp to get some steam to drop all the dust out of the air.

That said, I absolutely hated that screen protector. I removed it about 2 months before I traded in the phone, and the difference was unbelievable. I talked about it for like 3 days. If you need one, you should go glass instead. I just don't use one at all - preferring to trust in the gorilla glass and dedicating a special pocket in my bag to my phone. Of course, that doesn't apply if you don't carry a bag.
 
My Carved.com case arrived today and it is every bit as beautiful as it appeared on the website. I can't say how durable it will be as it does just snap on but it covers all four sides offering a slight lip around the top and bottom so that when my phone is laying face down the screen is not actually touching a surface. I really like that. It also works well with my wireless charger which is a must since I use my phone as a bedside clock. All in all I am quite happy.

i got mine from amazon. shipped a day or so before official release. you will pay full price though, but i had some gift cards waiting to be used so it cost me next to nothing... :cool:
