Has anyone tried Flashout 3D?

Flashout 3d I'd like the non bluetooth remote version but you have to pay before you can even try this game. I was a big fan of Wipeout on the PC when it 1st came out and this game looks a lot like it, So have any of the hardcore gamers here shelled out the money to try it?

If you did, could you please post some screen shots of the control layouts.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't, but I'm a bit skiddish about buying games that also include in-app-purchases. So if anyone out there that has it could share what those cost, I'd be grateful. :)

It's a good game and fun, but it is limited in what it can do.

There are lots of controls options. Tilt to steer, virtual joystick and on-screen buttons (split or one side of screen). I preferred the on screen buttons.

This is Flashout but as close as it gets on mobile.

I tried it briefly and got a refund, graphics are blocky and gameplay is not that good.

Yeah, the graphics of the track surface especially is blocky, but if you have a high-end device you can just set the graphics settings to high and the problem won't be so bad.

How about the IAPs? What do they cost, and what do you get for them?

4 IAPs in total. $0.99 for two, $1.99 and $2.99 for the other two. One IAP is for bonus music tracks...but you already have 10 to start with so this is no biggie.

The other 3 is for in game currency. This is basically for those who want the better/best ships right from the start. If you play the game normally as it is supposed to be, you can get the good ships in due time. Plus I won the final championship with the 3rd best ship so the game isn't imbalanced towards IAPs.

This is IAPs done right. There for those who want it easy, while those who want to play the game like "normal" can do so without making IAPs.

See, I appreciate the free games so I can try them, but I prefer to pay for the ones I like as I think it nets me a better experience.
