Has Sprint given up on 4G?

They don't seem to be in any rush to get this in more areas even though they're selling all these 4G phones. What's the hold up anyway?

Sprint gave up on expanding WiMax 4G so they really screwed us over. Two years with a 4G phone and never having the opportunity to use 4G...:argh:

Sprint is in the middle of a huge overhaul to their system. They are switching from Wimax to LTE.

All current work is going into the LTE network. Wimax is on hold.

Personally.....4G is overrated anyway. I wish there was a lower priced plan without it.

No, Sprint has not given up on 4G... quite the opposite, actually. Their Network Vision and 4G LTE plans are quite impressive.

Here are a couple links explaining.
