Went to upgrade to latest CWM nightly today. Got a message that installation was aborted and went back to the Recovery menu. Tried to install zip from sd card etc. to no avail. I just keep getting the Galaxy SIII boot screen for about 30 secs then returns to CWM Recovery menu. I can only move files to the phone via SD card as the micro usb pins are no good. Can anyone help here? BTW I did have root but a message flashed up once that there was a problem with root, but didn't see it fully.

So you still have recovery but system won't boot? Do you have a nandroid backup or a rom on the internal or external sd you could flash? Take it you tried clearing cache?

I don't know how nightlies work (as far as dirty flashing or wiping then flashing).
As funky said, if you still can get into recovery, you're fine

What carrier do you have?....perhaps we can move this thread into the root forum for your device/carrier where others who are rooted can chime in

If it's a rom, usually a dirty flash (but wipe cache and dalvik) is fine mate.
Not sure if it's a typo though but the OP said he flashed a CMW nightly. Did you mean CM nightly op?
