Have patience my fellow Droid owners!

So, I've been lurking here for a few days. I've been thoroughly enjoying my Droid. I've noticed so many people complaining about this and that and talking about returning the phone. The reality here is that its a new phone on a fairly new software platform. Its extremely complicated and bound to have plenty of bugs. With the weight of google behind this device and all the other devices running it now and in the future it will evolve quickly. Bugs will be resolved and the OS will be refined. Not everyone will get everything they want. But, it will get better I promise. To those of you new to these problems I have to say one thing.

Welcome to the early adopters club!

Its like this for just about any and every new gadget!

It's also a new OS,

My friend came over to visit this weekend and he's got the old G1, with the 1.6 whatever the version OS it is.. and he's thing was flying it felt like..

When i was scrolling his home screen and flipping through it felt smoother.

That's not the droids fault but just android 2.0 in general,

So hopefully some 2.0 patches will come out and optimize things a bit.

Well the whole point of Android 2.0 is that it can evolve and adapt, unlike the iPhone OS which has essentially stayed the same since launch as far as I'm concerned.

Very well said Prerunner!!! People always complain..but quick to forget about how much worse the rest of verizons phone offerings were just 2 months ago :-P I had the lg voyager that took about 3 minutes to load up yahoo....so a few quirks here and there are ok! :)

I love this phone and if its just going too get better... WOW. This device is already awesome and coming from owning a iphone to this I can easily say this phone kills it.
