Root Having problems rooting my Mez...

I've been wanting to root my Mesmerize, but I'm running into snags. I tried Z4Root, but it just seems to freeze up part way through the process, and Super One Click doesn't work on my computer, although I am not sure why not. Are there any other options that I haven't considered yet?

Have u tried taking the battery out when it freezes when useing. Z4root and trying again worked for me

What happens is that it will make it through part of the process, and then Z4Root just crashes, which seems to slow everything else on the phone way down. I would reboot the phone via the power button, but it kept doing the same thing. I tried it three or four times.
