Help Having Problems with my note

Lurker
Hi there i have had my note for about a year now and suddenly it has started constantly shutting down by itself when turned on or not even getting past the samsung logo when loading up. I managed to factory reset it using the home volume and power buttons, but it hasn't helped it still just turns itself off. if there is anyone here who knows what is happening or how to fix it your help would be hugely appreciated.

I would suggest a new battery as your first port of call.. If you search, you'll see that it appears that many phones have this issue after about 12 months. Mine had it. I exchanged the phone and everything and it turned out to be a duff battery.
A quick, free no tech required test is to remove your battery and place it on a table, flat. Now look to see if the battery is warped at all. If it doesn't lay flush with the table, it's a sure sign that the cells have warped, rendering your battery useless.
The phone will show that it is fully charged, then suddenly something random like 30% and finally, it will shut down, all within a few minutes.
Trying to reboot, even when plugged in will not see it past the boot screen.
If it's not the battery, I'll eat my hat ;)
Hope that helps :D

My original battery was still working well after 18 months, but just in case performance was dropping off I bought a new one anyway. It cost
