For those of you wanting to experiment with BT audio, but maybe you don't have a BT Car Stereo, or maybe you don't have a portable BT Speaker...
I have had good luck with this device when used with my LG phones, but also my HP Touchpads (running CM), in addition to an Apple iPad:
Bluetooth A2DP 3 5mm Stereo Audio Receiver Dongle Adapter for PC Laptop Phones | eBay
Note the model I've linked to has a female 3.5mm plug, and it also includes a male 3.5mm to RCA stereo cable and earphones besides the USB charging cable and adapter.
There are cheaper versions on eBAY that use a female to female adapter because the receiver was manufactured with a male 3.5mm plug. Why? I have no idea! Maybe this is why they are cheaper. I would be careful purchasing the really cheap receivers you might find on eBAY. You ultimately get what you pay for.
Anyway, the earphones are fairly decent, but nothing to write home about. So plug these in, or use a more ergonomic / higher quality pair of your choosing, and now you are untethered for tens of feet from the phone (which you might have plugged in and charging).
A side benefit: you are not putting mechanical cycles on your phone's 3.5mm connector. (Since I have the VZW model, I charge my phone wirelessly, unless I'm in the car using GPS and NAV).
If you have a stereo system at home, you can use the included cable to go into the AUX inputs on your stereo, and now your phone can wirelessly stream content to it, again, without cycling the 3.5mm connector on the phone.
I've got a few of these.
One I leave permanently connected to my home entertainment system connected to my TV in my living room.
One I have connected to a pair of amplified stereo computer speakers in my bedroom. (These can often be had for cheap or you could go higher-end).
And one, I have connected to a pair of headphones when I want to listen privately to some content.
