I have the leaked version installed v3 2.1 but recently my phone has been acting up. When I'm on my home page my phone sometimes & now its happening more often will go all the way to the far left home screen.

Sometimes it just gets stuck & ill have to pull the battery out other times it will stop on its own. It will also do it when I'm in my browser but since it can't scroll it makes a lot clicking sounds like when your typing a text really fast & lock up my phone.

Again requiring a battery pull. It just started out of the blue. I've done 2 factory resets 1 was done at VZW store. They had no idea what it was. I have a new phone on the way now, but I was curious if anyone else was having this prob?

i believe the most common diagnosis here, by others with a like experience, was it is a hardware issue with the charging port -- its proximity to the trackball resulted in the random left-scroll behavior.

replacement is only viable option, for now

DroidJW points out one of the main reasons that some were seeing that bug.. and the main solution: replacement of the device.

But I'd never go running to the store with mine until I was certain the bug could not be washed out by resetting (the "factory data reset").

It's a little bit of a hassle, but if you have not done that yet, there is a possibility your problem is not hardware related and in need of replacement.

Thanks guys I factory reset 3x & it still is doing but as I said earlier my replacement is on the way.

Glad you're getting a new phone.

We've seen some posts reporting results following more than one reset.. one that I remember involved a bug that was taken care of by the reset, but a new issue reared its head, so another reset in the hope that one went away, which it did.

If you've done more than one already you sure are in need of a replacement.

I have a completely different problem. I have 2.1ota, & I have ultra keyboard as well as shapewriter, but I use Ultra keyboard. I had them since long before the 2.1 update which I got on the 17th & have not had any problems until yesterday. Now when I have either alternative keyboard, active I have no multi-touch in browser or homescreen. When i reactivate the standard keyboard multi-touch works again. Any ideas? Could sense ui be to blame? It has been FCi'ng & restarting (sense launcher,not the phone itself). That happens everytime I close any app.
