Help HBO Go a NO GO

HBO Go will not work on the Note, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Saw another thread where IMBD was not working and it was found that setting your language to English fixed it (and it did :D). This did not work for HBO GO though.

Any tips or ideas?

I am NEW to Android, had an iPhone for the last 4 years.

Hi Glenn!

Same here with coming over to Android after being on an iPhone since 2007.

Hmm...Strange as I was able to get HBO Go and Max Go to work. Does it install but just crash when you open?

You might try to install Max Go first and see if it will install.
 
No it installs (both of them, thanks for the MaxGo, I have missed that). They start fine and seem to run, then when I go to put in my service (AT&T Uverse) it opens up the verification screen and I put in my user name and password. When I hit the button to verify it, it never gets past that point. So it may be an issue with the program sending the info to Uverse. I used to have Dish and so I tried it and it came back pretty quick user not found or known or whatever it says.


Which service do you use?

I've got Verizon FiOS and once I enter in the username/password it verifies/logs in fairly quickly. It could very well be something on the AT&T side.
 
Sent them an email and got this in reply

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is an issue with the AT&T login page that is causing the problem that you experienced. HBO does not have access to or control over this page. AT&T is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it; however AT&T has not provided an estimated time to resolution.

So does that mean AT&T designed the app....bc when I login on a desktop or laptop it works fine....something fishy here....even reading app reviews it says Uverse login stopped working after an update.... don't we all just love the blame game? :-)
