Help HC 3.2 making tab run clunky

Just upgraded to HC 3.2 and my tab is running clunky, have read on another post I should do a factory data reset but don't want to lose my downloaded apps. Any advice?

You don't lose anything really, even paid apps are still yours to reinstall. Once you reset the device and log into your google account, your paid apps are there in the market, and any other free apps you want you can simply download and install again.

Depends on what you mean by "clunky". It's like someone going to a car mechanic and saying "my car is broke"...be more specific or we can't help very much.
 
Apologies for the delayed response and thanks for getting back to me.

Some examples of 'clunkiness' are sticking when swiping from one home screen to another or applications looking like they have froze, but actually come back after 15 or 20 seconds.

I have removed live wallpaper which has improved things but just thought the tab would run a bit smoother than it does. Happy to complete a factory reset if you guys think it will help (although don't want to go through the hassle if it its not worth it).

I would do a factory reset. If it fixes these issues, then it's worth it, no?

Exactly. Look, Neil, 15-20 second freezes are not normal behavior for a Tab, so we already know that something is wrong.

BTW: a key point is to not immediately re-install your old apps after the reset. Just use the Tab for a while and see if it

Yes, but that's not what you want to do if it's an app causing the problems.

If the reset fixes the issue, and you restore all your settings and apps, and then the issue returns, you will have no idea what app caused the problem. You should reset and check, then if all is good, install one app at a time and check for issues until you find the culprit.

The Play Store (formerly Market) will remember your settings and apps if you want to do a full restore. But if you set up the Tab like new again after the reset, which is what you want, it will only remember your paid apps associated with your google account. If you want to record which apps you have installed now, just open the apps folder and take screenshots of each page by hitting the screenshot key and save those images on your computer for reference.
