hd camera on android

hello, sorry if not using the forum properly, im new here
I have a htc hd2, but installed the ultimate droid os (android 3.3) thats why im writting in the desire hd section... the question that i want to ask is this: I heard that in the rooted android os it is possible to modify the camera to take hd videos (or even pictures, i dont know), so is it possible to make my phone do that if so, what has to be done? do i have to root it or anything else? thanx!!!

As far as I'm aware though, the camera is the camera, there is no amount of software tweaking that can make it record in HD. It's a hardware limitation, not a software one. Apps, can improve things, but not to the extent I think you are looking for, sorry.

its just that this guy told me that after rooting the phone it is possible to have a hd camera, maybe he was imagining stuff... Thank you anyway, and if you can move my question, i would be grateful

Moved. I may be wrong, hopefully the guys in the HD2 section will have a better idea of what the handset is capable of.
