HD video recording

why ace fails to take HD videos?even though it has superb 5MP cam. most of the nokia phones are able to took good video(like 5800(only 3mp),c6,c5,c7) with an average cam, why ACE fails? video quqlity is very very bad - videos are jerky, poor resolution .if there is any way to take good quality videos.

Because it does not have an HD video function. This was detailed on the Specs!

A friend of mine managed to get an update for his HTc that now gives him HD video and he is very impressed by it so maybe Samsung or some clever clogs can get a similar update for the galaxy

when cyanogenmod for ace comes im sure it will have 720dpi recording., its just depend if u want stock or cyanogen

Hi frnds, if u r interested in video recording .... use LG CAMERA APPS from android market
1.it's much better than ace camcorder
2. settings used to take pictures can also be used while taking videos
eg: auto flash,night mode,macro mode, party,sunset, fireworks
3. u can adjust video frame tate(15,20,30)
4. u can adjust resolution 320*240, 640*480,720p,1080p etc. but 720,1080- gave some errors
5. superb quality recording

lgcamera isn't doing much good on the ace. Any video recording above 640*480 doesn't work regardless of the settings used. Higher resolutions result in unclear videos. Looks like we are stuck with a 5mp 'lens' that records video at 640*480

In ACE maximum video resolution support by LG CAMERA is 640*480. But when we record with some settings( video bit rate 5-8mbit, frame rate at 30fps, saturation 3 or 4, video encorder mpeg4) will give Exellent result, which is far far better than the stock camera, me and my frnds experience it. I can watch the recorded videos in full screen in my LAPTOP with exellant quality. so just try and enjoy.
