Help HD Went Swimming

So my Droid Razr Maxx HD went for a swim a few months ago. Completely dead.. a couple days ago I plugged it in and it worked! It booted right up and I was able to navigate with no issue. I was able to play a sound clip as well.. I left it running for 5 minutes came back it was off. It wont turn on now however the green led lights when it's plugged in. Any suggestions or is this still a paper weight? :rolleyes:
 
Try hard resetting it, might just be locked up or something.

Hold power and volume down for about 7-10 seconds, and let go. The red Moto logo should pop up after that. If it doesn't then it's some other problem.
 
Ah, shit that sucks man. Sorry, that's all I've got. Make sure you're pressing them simultaneously though, cause it wont take if you don't press it at the same time. If you have, then yeah, sorry bud.
 
Best bet would be buying one with a broken glass from ebay and putting the motherboard in yours. They're pretty easy to get apart
 
You probably don't want to hear this but I have a friend that accidentally put his Razr Maxx (regular, not HD) in the washing machine. It was in there for a couple of minutes when he remembered and rescued it. Amazingly, it works fine. The washing machine was still on the initial fill cycle, had not started agitating, but still, pretty impressive. I think he is now a Motorola fan for life.
