HD Widgets being a battery hog

I just got my S5 through work yesterday and it's pretty awesome :)

One issue though, I checked my battery usage this morning and HD widgets had used a full 54% of battery usage! Followed by screen at 12%. Anyone else use HD Widgets? I love their linked widgets but not willing to sacrifice battery life for them. I never had this issue with them on my S3.

I left feedback on Play, and they responded that they've fixed a bunch of battery issues in their next update, which is rolling out now. I'll wait till I get the update and give it another go.

Thanks for the reply. Have a S5 here. was stuck on a Moto photon, till S5 launch. I was assuming S5, had HD Widgets. Don't see it any where in App Man. Went to G-play Hd Wig is pay, 1.99. that what ur talking about ? ty again

Yes, it's a paid app. I like it more than the native widgets because the widgets have multiple links to other apps. tap the clock, it takes you to the clock app. Tap the weather, it takes you to the forecast, tap the date, opens the calender, all on the same widget.

They just added a new feature on the weather widget for people in hot climates!
