Hi , the other day while I was charging my HDH thru my laptop via USB . I received a call and noticed that while I was on the phone my ears felt that there was kind of a prickly electrical charge comin from the speaker so much so I couldnt let my ears touch the speaker . I know this is a bit weird but its true . It doesnt happen when its not on charge everything's normal . Has anyone faced this . I hope someone can shed some light on this because its a great phone . Thanks so much .

Hi there,

I've got exactly the same problem with my Desire HD. I would notice that it hurts at times and never really thought much about it till now. I investigated a little more and realised that it was a current passing through the earpiece. I looked on the net to see if anyone else had this problem and your the only one to talk about it. You're right too, it only happens when charging and in a call. I'm charging my phone through the power socket.
Have you fixed your problem??

Obviously, the voltage that is used to charge the phone is too low to cause any sensation of being shocked and if, for any reason, it were to rise significantly above the designed level, the phone would be unlikely to survive.

I think the problem is most likely to be with the earthing of your house wiring. One way to help determine this would be to check whether the sensation of being shocked stops when the laptop is unplugged from the mains. If this does seem to be the case, you need to get an electrician to check your home's electrics as a matter of urgency.
