Help HDMI adapter turn off all network connection

I just received a micro USB to HDMI adapter for my ATT Galaxy S2 and I had no problem to hook it to the TV to watch movies and pictures, BUT

As soon as I plug it in I loose wifi and ATT network(I tried different combinations, no network) and can therfore not surf or stream youtub etc over HDMI, is this normal, is it a built in protection or is something wrong?

This happens here as well - as soon as I connect the HDMI cable, the WiFi stops working :(

Where did you buy the adapter from?
What brand is it?
What ROM version does your SGSII have?
 
My SGS2 is not rooted.
I bought this from Amazon.
Everything works well.

same issue here, very disapointed that i cannot streaming with hdmi cable cause disable network connection. any posible solution?
 
I just got my MHL/HDMI/power adapter $24.95 free ship from New Egg. Good sound and picture on my home theater. but it does turn off Cell Data connection. I turned on Wifi and streamed netflix, surfed the web etc. I wonder is it an AT&T setting the turns the cell data connection off? It would be great if I could bypass this.

Sorry to bump this thread but I am receiving this exact same problem on my Galaxy S2. It makes streaming media and using services like Onlive impossible when hooked up to a HDTV.

I live in the UK on O2, so I don't believe it is a network specific problem.

This is very restrictive, so if there is a fix; I'd be very much interested in hearing about it.
 
HI guys, I purchased a MHL to Hdmi adapter for my Galaxy S2 but when I connect the charger to the adapter the data automatically turn off and can not use Netflix or anything. Any help? Thanks!!
