HDMI cable woes

my NFL mobile app does not work when my HDMI cable is plugged in. When it's not plugged in, it plays the live video just fine. When the cable is plugged in it tells me there is an error playing the video.

anybody else experience this? any fixes?

what?! why the hell would they do that?? NFL mobile is the whole reason I bought the HDMI cable. They except me and my friends to sit huddled around my 4 inch screen to watch monday night football??

that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I hope somebody hacks this. Absolutely stupid. Glad I bought the cable for 9 bucks on newegg instead of the 40 dollars verizon wanted.
