Help HDMI from phone to t.v. not working please help

I have a rooted s2 running the touched Rom. I plugged the phone in to the hdmi to my tv and it worked for 3 minutes and now it says no signal on my tv.is there app for this?

EDIT: I fixed it the dc has to be plugged in.the out let I was using was damaged.

I bought the adapter and hdmi cable at radioshack. The adapter is called pipeline mhl adapter and is 40 $. The hdmi cable is 10. Ask someone who works there and they'll point you to the right adapter for your galaxy s2.

Yeah, I think I shall avoid RadioShack. They overcharge for most things that I could go to another retail store and get for less. I did find one online for 14 dollars.

I might take it back now because I won't use it too much since ibought a 360. I guess it's made of finer materials and has a superior design which provides a clearer image. I don't know if that justifies 40 when I can pay 14. Here are the details from pipelines website. Codegerm your link didn't work for me.

I took it back to radio shack and got my money back.

I purchased a mhl adapter @best buy for $40 brand-rocketfish. It works fine but does need the phone charger plugged in it to work.
