I bought a 42 in tv and a Toshiba Thrive few days ago both new and when i connect the hdmi to the Tablet to the TV nothing happens ...It doesnt give me a notification on my tablet and on the tv nothin at all.... This also happens when I connect the USB cord to the tv...I went and went to the INPUT (USB) channel on my tv and it says no device connected

Stupid question, but . . .

On the TV, you are selecting the input that corresponds to the HDMI connector into which you plugged the Thrive, right? HDMI 1, 2, or 3, or Aux?

Yea..But just to make sure I check every HDMI input channel and no signal on all of them.... I did call toshiba they dont know what the problem is so they said they will call me back and gave me a reference number....

I've had no problems connecting my thrive to my lg 42" via the hdmi cable..I plug it in, switch to the appropriate input and viola...
Just to note, I am rooted on 3.2 if it makes any difference

I had my thrive delivered to my brother to see if he liked it. Will root it the second I get it. I had an Evo3g. I remember it required software to mirror the signal. I am not for sureif te thrive requires something similar or if it has the software built in.

My tablet doesn't work with my toshiba tv either. I purchased the tv during the summer, so it is a recent model. The cable works since I don't have problems using it with my home theater.
