When you connect an Android tablet that has a 1280 x 800 screen to a 1920 x 1080 HDMI monitor or TV, what resolution to you actually get?

Pretty sure the resolution is that of your TV. I used a Skypad Alpha2 (very low end tablet) with HDMI out as a game console on my TV. The tablet had a resolution of 800x480, but it looked beautiful. I had no issues at all.

This one is showing both the tablet and TV at same resolution (1080p):

On this one it appears the monitor is automatically switching resolution modes depending on the content. (A notification appears on the screen)

This is really nice. I guess the Infinity supports this because it has a full HD screen. (actually 16:10 1920 x 1200)
But I don't know what a 1280 x 800 Android tablet supports via HDMI out.
