Is it possible to mirror the screen on my nexus 10 to my LG smart tv using the HDMI connector or will it just play videos?

Many thanks in advance for any replies

Thanks for the reply........... nice to know someone responds.
After ditching an iPhone last February for an LG G2 decided to do the same with the iPad and have now ordered a Nexus 10

I LOVE putting the Nexus 10 screen up onto a big screen TV!
Yesterday, at work, we had a big screen TV & I used my Comcast/WatchESPN account to put the US-Belgium soccer game on (TV at work didn't have any TV service; it's used as a monitor).

Just tried out the HDMI on my Nexus 10 tablet, picture great but no sound at all,
is there some saying on the Nexus tablet that needs altering of maybe something else?????

I use the cheapest HDMI cable I could find on Amazon.

I have heard of audio issues though when using HDMI output, may be something you need to google.

I'm using an HDMI 5 metre extension cable, so I just thought I'd use the process of elimination and connect with a standard length cable and got the sound to work, so I dug out an old flat extension cable I bought to connect my laptop to the TV and this worked fine. So I've come to the conclusion that the first cable was either faulty or not fully wired.

Glad you got something to work!

I was about to suggest a really dumb thing - I recently hooked my N10 up to a TV at work (staff wanted to watch the US quarterfinal World Cup game). Had a beautiful picture & no sound. Wasn't a TV that I normally use - finally checked & discovered that the previous person to use the TV had muted the TV sound!

Cable was too long.. the sound got tired traveling the distance to the TV and just stopped in its tracks. Cutting the cable in half should solve the problem.

:D

I will presume that the last comment was "tongue in cheek"a the cable that now works correctly is exactly the same length as the one that wouldn't work i.e. 5 metres
