Help Headphone Audio Quality Isn't Very Loud

I am very happy with my HTC Amaze besides one thing. I like to listen to my music at a decent level and the headphone sound quality in my phone is very very low. I have downloaded the Volume+ app but when it isn't doing a force close and not working it isn't making me happy either.

I am just looking to increase the volume so it drowns out the outside world when I am listening to my music.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed that too until i flashed the beats audio mod.
I can help you obtain the beats audio but.....
Are you rooted?
