headphone icon stuck on phone

This is my wife's phone and she let the newborn play with it for a few seconds. It looks like the head phone icon. When she makes a call she can't hear anyone and nobody can here her unless she has the earplugs in. It's like it's stuck on headphone mode.

weird, was it dropped? if its still reasonably new take it to a corporate store.

I think the baby drooled in the headphone jack. Try cleaning the jack with a qtip that has just a drop of alcohol on it. Not wet, barely moist.

Download the app Sound About from the play store. Seriously. I had the same issue on a couple phones. Appeared out of no where
