Help Headphone input

Jade Cover

Lurker
Recently i've bought an iphone 5 but after a few months I ditched it and kept the earbuds. Now fastfoward to when I got the LG l70.I used the apple earbuds and after a few days half of the jack got stuck inside the headphones input. So I used a safety pin, tweezers, and even a (dry) dental pick untill I finally got it out (about 2 hrs). Also I bought new KOSS headphones since the apple earbuds broke. But now I can only hear from the lefts side and its barely even audible.Of course ive checked the settings and what not.My question is how do I fix this issue?

Probably broke the socket when you forced the stuck Apple headset jack out. Although it should have been OK, and not broke in half. How to fix it, the socket needs replacing.
This is a useful site if you want to try DIY. http://www.ifixit.com/

I couldn't find anything about this problem.I'm not sure if I looked hard enough or not.But is there a different solution to this problem.

Well whatever happens the broken socket needs replacing, so your choices are:

1) Send it to LG for repair, but will likely be more than what it's worth, i.e. beyond economic repair. This is a $70 phone.
2) Find a local or online independent repairer. They might have spares from donor phones.

This is what it actually needs, but it's a soldered part rather than plugged.

It states "Cricket", but I don't think a headset socket cares about what carrier your L70 is on.
