Help Headphone issue

First of all hello! Loving my new Commando...

So I bought a set of Scosche HP155m headphones (Noise Isolation earbuds with tapLINE II control technology) and they worked fine with my old HTC Imagio Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. When I plug them in all the way on my new Casio Commando however, they don't work. If I plug them in half way they work but of course wiggle out.

I kept playing around with them and noticed that if I push them in all the way, and then hold the "talk/call" button, the headphones work, and as soon as I let go of the button, they stop working.

So my question - Is there any way to fix this issue or is it because these headphones are made for the iPhone? I am hoping to find a simple solution to this problem because the audio quality of these headphones is very good.

I have tried all the TTY settings and regardless it only comes up if I push down one of the three buttons on the headphones.

HALLLPPPP! =)

Just want to make mention that I found a temporary solution - The "Toggle Headset" Widget allows the headphones to work but neither the mic nor buttons still work...regardless it at least gives me a decent solution until I can trade up.

I wonder if the headphones would get full functionality if I plugged them into a Bluetooth 3.5mm adapter?

I found that one of my head phones wont fit into the head phone slot looks like i have to get new head phones lol

Its not the cord's problem it's the phone. The auxiliary port sits down further into the phone for water proofing. The only fix that I have found is to cut the plastic on the cord's back so the plug can sit securely into the port. Ive looked around and cannot find any other cords that work. I don't use any headphones with it only an aux cord to listen to it in the truck.

I had already cut like 5mm off the plug to make sure it fits all the way and I have tried other cheap sets and they work..seems that headphones that have headphone/mic control that are made for the iphone will not work because the issue was duplicated with iphone buds with controls.

The only workaround I have found thus far is to use an app/gadget that force-enables my headphone jack...but unfortunately it doesn't allow the mic or controls to work.

It's almost as if the buttons are wired backwards or something..because when I press and hold the button they will work but as soon as I release they stop working...it's almost like pushing any button is being read as the button not being pushed and vice versa.

I just bought a .35mm 4-pole male by female adapter ( with cord ), because the audio jack is like getting to the bottom of a fat mans belly button . :(

Casio/VZ should sell an adapter for this phone, because with case and rubber jacket it is one long deep sinkhole .

Hellooooooooooooooo DOOOOOOOOOOOWNNNNNN THEEEEEEEEERE .....

The commando I do not believe has support for TRRRS connectors, only TRRS. Also, I had this problem when I wanted to plug my phone into my speakers when I go to bed. I made out ok with this combo...

Amazon.com: Mediabridge 3.5mm Male To 3.5mm Male Stereo Audio Cable - (2 Feet) - Step Down Design accommodates iPhone, iTouch, SmartPhone and MP3 cases: Electronics

Amazon.com: 3.5mm Female to Female Stereo Coupler Plug: Electronics

They make longer cords, but I only needed one to act like an adapter.

Can you tell me which is this toggle headset widget you're talking about?
Which app do i need to install for this widget?
