Headphone jack keeps breaking?

A few months ago my Xperia Z3 Compact started having dodgy connections with the headphones. Eventually it stopped working altogether- so I got it repaired. It was successful and after I got it back there we no problems at all, until now...
I'm not abusing it. After the first time I was VERY careful with my phone to be sure that it doesn't occur again. I took care to not bend the headphone adapter and not to drop it, sleep on it e.t.c- however after one day of leaving it on the table next to my bed the jack went haywire again, and after one night of no user interaction what-so-ever headphones became impossible to use. I checked it out for lint and dust but none was found, so my parents are certain that I'm treating it foolishly (thanks for the support, Mum and Dad).

I don't get it, this happened again so quickly and the jack was working perfectly before that fateful night. My phone just seems to enjoy spontaneously combusting unprovoked.

Yes, I tried out other headphones with it. They didn't work either.
If there's one thing I may be doing wrong it's that I'm using my headphones constantly? About 3-4 hours every day/night. Does excessive use annoy the system?

Anyway, thanks for reading this post which became a little too long. I can probably publish a book with this...

Leaving the headphones plugged in should not in itself damage the jack. How long did the repair last? I would think that it's a simple thing to fix, but if it didn't last long maybe the repairer didn't do a very good job.

Did they say what they thought was wrong with it when they fixed it though? You'd think there might be a clue there.

Thanks for replying, and no they didn't specify anything (not to me, anyway)
I'm pretty sure it was a faulty connection, myself. And the repair was last month(?), however I'm taking it back anyway. I'm not gonna fiddle with anything because that could probably mess with my st....sta....
My rights, and the phone's under half a year old so I should still have warranty
Again, thanks

Yeah I'd take it back to the repair shop but be aware that if it isn't a certified Sony repair shop, your warranty is probably now void :(
