Headphone Jack problems

I saw the list of people addressing systemic headphone jack problems, but no resolution.

My Sprint HTC Hero's headphone jack can best be described as "intermittent" - sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.

Any proven fixes ???
 
sprint replaced my phone for me the first time it became problematic. It is a known issue to htc
