Accessories headphones not working

ok using stock headphones :o, don't see to be able to use the controls on the remote on a phone with 2.2, BUT they do work on a phone using 2.1....
Am I missing something, or is this now normal:mad:
 
While I was searching for an inline remote handsfree earphone adapter for my Desire, I discovered the stock handsfree does not do end call, I tried an other made but also the same, I thought it was the design or hardware failure of the phone so I call the customer service, they suspect I have a bad app installed caused that, so I brainwash the phone and try again, bingo it works !! I don't know which app caused that but this is quite strange, never had this problem with any phone before :confused::confused:
