Ok might be a repost but i've searched and can't find a reasonable answer. I have my HTC hero and when i plug in my headphones and the phone rings or i get a text notification, both the headphones and external speaker ring. Is there a way to get the ring/notification only through the headphones? I really don't want to have to turn my phone on silent mode and just have a pause when the phone rings while i'm listening to music. so far i have been unable to find a setting or app for this issue.

I'm surprised it took over a year to get a good answer for this, but here it is:
Get the app "Sound About" in Google Play. Just un-check the "Notification to speaker" option.
