my headphones do not work in my droid x2 idk why but music plays out of the speakers but not my headphone jack

I assume you mean that when you plug the headphones in you don't get music out of the headphones or the speaker. (If it keeps coming from the speaker you could have a defective headphone jack.) Try the headphones in another device, and try different headphones in your phone. That will tell you if the problem is with the phone or the headphones.
