So I had to take my Spectrum to VZ today because it wouldn't turn on and it turns out the phone was fried.
How I believe it happened was when I plugged it into my PC with a Motorola USB cable (not the OEM) and tried to access it through my VM box. Windows tried to find a drive for the VM link, but when the search failed, the phone went blank and hasn't worked since.
I can't imagine it matters that much, but I'd advise you all of the following:
- Don't use any cable other than OEM; it's probably the same cable with a different sticker on it, but the girl @ the VZ store said she's heard of this issue before
- Don't try to access your phone as a USB device in a VM box. If you don't know what that is, don't worry about it.
That said, got muh new phone and I'm ready to get back to CM.
