I'm debating whether to get a razr maxx or a galaxy nexus, and the headset control would be a deal breaker for me.
It was hard to get headset button control to work on my zte warp:
- Under advanced options, set click speed to very, very slow
- When clicking, hold the button down far longer than seems reasonable
- When double-clicking, same thing. Do it very slowly.
It's ridiculous that Google didn't build headset control into Android. That's my one major complaint about the platform. Lots of their employees live in town - I see them get on the Google bus every morning. They must know it's unsafe to whip out your phone in a sketchy neighborhood to skip songs, not to mention a PITA.
