Just got my AT&T 64GB Edge. Nice device even with a few quirks

My problem: When I plug in my headset (Monster w/ mic) or even the headset that comes with the device, when I get a phone call, all sound comes from both the headset and the phone's built in speaker.
I have not found a setting that says "no speaker if headset plugged in.." or something similar.
Any help / ideas / etc...?
