Headset setting stuck

I have a HTC inspire and well the headset setting is stuck on I have tried many things and before I go into it yes it got some water on it not drenched or submerged. First I did the rice bag thing then I held it under a hand dryer I then took it to an AT&T shop they told me to reset to factory did that and I also tried the headset fix app and not a thing worked so AT&T support told me I would need to get a new one . If anyone else has any ideas I am willing to try, I cant get a new one and it is becoming a pain to talk to people on speaker phone all the time
