Since the second H/A my normal is in the 140's for the first number. I try and relax on the couch for 30 minutes before taking it, if I take it after walking to the kitchen or other room it will be over 160 ish !

My typical BP is 125/72. An elevated reading will be in the mid 130s over low 80s.

Nothing wrong with that !
Five months after my heart attack, my BP fell critically low. 67/43 was the lowest I logged. I went to the ER and I was dehydrated. After a couple of bags and a follow up with my PCP got blood work and then an appointment with a kidney guy and then I was dusted off and sent on my way. Nobody had a clue why I was so dehydrated.
The preventative measures I've taken since is to drink lots of beers. 🤣

I see 4 different doctors now, and the tech in each office know that I have to rest before taking my BP, or it will sound an alarm for the ER because it will be so high.
Right before the second H/A it was close to 195 ! ! ! ! Wanna see them scramble in the ER ? Yah, I got to go straight to an exam room that day !

Herre yah goes OB.
Had some issues a week ago and took an ambulance ride to the big Heart Center in Houston, where I took a 5 day vacation at club HCA.
Came home with a pacemaker !
Small incision is where they removed the loop recorder big one is why my chest feels like a horse kicked me !

The forums were in the dirt while you were gone. I tried to write off your absence to that but I feared it was more serious. I'm glad you are back and on the sunny side of the grass my friend. That, Sir, does not look like any fun.

The loop recorder was making reports of my heart going from Afib to Brady, with the brady condition it was beating in the 30's, normal heart rate is in the 60's per minute.
I already feel better, still on a two week "don't do nothing" order but this week will be more of getting back into my routine than just laying around.
Sometimes rootabaga yah jus gotta take your vacations where yah find them .... Club HCA was great for service, 'cept the every hour wake up for tech support (vitals, breathing treatment, etc) starting @ 3 am every morning was not so fun !

One of the things I noticed right away was the tired sluggish feeling I have had for some time now is improving, the excessive sleep mode I was in has lessened, and I feel like I have some energy again.
I am tied down to "do nothing" for two weeks by doctors orders, but that expires this weekend !
Can hardly wait to see how it works when I start doing things again !

After not taxing your body and then having a two week vacation, I would guess slow and steady would be the best path. Dr olbriar knows nothing, however. Good luck and hope you continue to feel better. That's great news, indeed!

ordered rest is almost over, I got things to do this week !

I hit the Tri-Fecta for today.
Cardio appt @ 8:30 am followed by cardiac electrophysiologist appt followed by PCP appointment.
I am fitin to leave here and will not be back until this evening ...

Went well until the Boston Scientific crew came in and interfaced the pacemaker.
Their consensus, (after an EKG), is that the bottom wire is not properly positioned, went for a chest Xray, and will go back next week, to talk about what it shows.
Not gonna let it worry me today !

I get to do a stress test tomorrow morning. A week from Monday I do an echocardiogram. Sort of messes up my Monday mows. I have never had a stress test and had envisioned being on a tread mill or stationary bike. The office called late Friday to make certain I would follow the pre test procedures they requested. She then told me to take all of my meds like normal for I wouldn't be doing the tread mill?
Maybe I'll be jogging around their building.
I have no clue what I'm in for. The echo I know. I've done that a few times. What I know for certain is it will be hotter than hell itself by the time I get home and get on my lawns.

My stress test was no stress. They tagged team me and could not manage to find a vein to inject. They advocated setting up a hospital stress test but I wasn't in favor. I work myself hard every day and see no particular reason for a stress test. I am anxious for the echocardiogram next Monday and we all agreed we'll see how my ejection fraction is and go from there.
