heeeelp!!! samsung galaxy, incorrect pattern

ive got a samsung galaxy portal and ive put the wrong pattern code in so now it tells me to enter my google account details. when i do this its saying invalid. is there any way i can sort this problem out myself because i really dont want to send it away to the engineers?

Ok, so you have a phone with a Samsung Galaxy ROM?

If so, then find the ROM, download it, reboot to recovery and re-flash.
