Root HelBroken screen No access to Phone!

I recently cracked the screen of my HTC and now it will no longer work and I can't unlock it or do anything with it. I have another phone but there are a lot of photos that I want to get off of it and it won't connect to my computer (or rather, it will but only to charge the battery). Does anyone know a way I can 'hack' into my phone to retrieve my information off of it?

I think the only way is to get the screen replaced

Another good reason to save photos etc to the SD card. Put it in a reader or adaptor, plug it into a PC and copy them.
