I've been using Titanium Backup to backup my Android devices ever since rooting my OG Droid. I (temporarily) gave up on root when my Galaxy Nexus updated to Android 4.3 - I don't want to be on the bleeding edge of rooting. Anyway, after a lot of digging regarding what exactly the desktop portion of Helium does for non-rooted devices, I decided to install it. Imagine my surprise when the final dialog advised me that I will have to re-enable Helium using the desktop portion EVERY TIME I restart my device. This may be a technical limitation of the trick Helium uses to trick the device into backing up without being connected to a PC, but it seems like a major limitation, and certainly seems worth mentioning in the app listing, where I can learn about it BEFORE installing the app.
Was anyone else as surprised as I was?
