Hello All

[Dvoraak]

I'm not sure why I'm just now joining this site but here I am. I've used various Android tablets for quite awhile now and generally found them lacking (when compared to my iPhones) until I recently picked up the Galaxy Note 10.1 and it changed everything. Now I'm diving into the Android ecosystem in a way I never did before. That's led me here and to other sites like this.

I'm giving up my iPhone now in favor of the Galaxy Note 2 (soon) but that hasn't made me an Apple hater. I've got a pretty solid pedigree in mobile devices (see below) and the simple fact is Apple always outperformed Android when it came to smooth, responsive UIs.... until now. Thank you Samsung for finally taking Android ahead of the curve.

iPhone / 3G -3GS - 4 - 4S
Android / Samsung Infuse - Toshiba Thrive - Asus TF300 - Asus Infinity TF700 - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (next month and I can't wait )

Dvoraak, I'm glad you decided to join us!

We're glad to have you aboard - and while we are Android enthusiasts, we're mostly nice about it and don't HATE on Apple.

Well, not much...

j/k

Android and iOS are two great OSs that do much of the same thing, only differently. I hope you feel comfortable here, learn stuff, make friends and enjoy. If you have questions, ask: it's what we're here for!

Thanks Chief and glad to hear it's not a hate fest. When you read stories and comments online you have to wonder whether it's love of Android or hatred of Apple that drives people

Well I can't vouch for other sites, Dvoraak, but here we're not rabid about it. Sure there are differences of OS and differences of opinion... and we respect that. But we don't flame people for liking this OS or that one. That's a matter of personal choice.

Glad you decided to try Android and learn more about it!
