Hello! (also a quick CR-48 question)

Hey Guys,

I've been lurking for a LONG time. I'm an iPhone convert as of September and I was skeptical about Android but now that I have it, I LOVE it, and there is NO WAY in hell I will go back to iOS!

Just want to say hey and thanks for all the stellar advice posted here from my times lurking.

I also have a quick question that may be slightly off topic regarding the Google Chrome OS CR-48 notebook:

I (college student) filled out the app for one on Thursday - I had a decent reason for getting one (I'm a medical student doing rural medicine and I could really use a lightweight notebook that has a slot for a 3g card and quick start for the work I do, my current netbook is not cutting it battery wise). I was wondering what the chances are that I could get one and if I am selected, when I would get it.

Is it safe to assume that you put in for a CR-48 through this Google program?

Pilot Program - Chrome OS

My guess is that there were 10x as many requests for notebooks as there were notebooks. Google will likely approve requests to many corporate customers, schools, non-profits, and developers first. As such your individual request will take them a while to evaluate.
