Welcome to AF ben!
Eh, don't feel stupid, it can be a little overwhelming at first :)
What phone do you have and what is your problem?
We can move you to the correct forum and offer some advice...no worries!
We are all here to help my friend!:D

best way to navigate through the site in my opinion is to click on forum, and scroll to the bottom where it lists all the devices. Click on yours and then look for the "support and troubleshooting" forum link. Once there you can scroll through all troubleshooting/help me threads and see if theres one with an answer to your question or you can start a new thread.

Hi Ben, and welcome to AF :)

It's better to post phone questions in the phone's forum - that way you get people with the same device looking at it. You can find the list of phone forums at Android Phones - Android Forums.

If there isn't a forum for your device you could try the Android Lounge or the other phones forum. Android Lounge is also good if you think it might be a general Android problem rather than one that's specific to your phone - if it's a particular application then Android Applications would be the best place.

Hope that helps. Don't worry, you'll learn your way round (actually I originally just hung out in my phone forum and it took me a while to find out what else there was!). :)

Welcome to the forums! :)

No worries, we were all new once, and know just how you feel. I promise, it'll pass quickly.

Good news - we have a handy FAQ to help navigate our forums - http://androidforums.com/faqs/511679-android-forums-faq.html

And we are newcomer friendly! :)

You can ask anything you like. We don't require you to search, we don't care if it's been asked before - we don't even care if you're not sure how to ask the question (that last one has happened to most all of us, me too).

We'll get you in the right neighborhood where we think others have the right idea from using your phone, or some app in question, or like that, and I'm sure you'll find our members very friendly and helpful.

And if not - just click on the name of any of us in red or green, and drop us a message. (Also - please see my sig, the report button is your friend, we're happy to hear from you that way as well.)
