Just a quick intro. I've been an engineer since 87 and have been programming on and off for my entire career. I jumped back into the field last year after taking a couple of years off to spend time with my family.
I love the flexibility programming offers and I enjoy the opportunites the Droid market has opened up!
Most of my career has been in the RTOS environment using C and assembly. My end user coding experiences were done in Visual C++ and Visual Basic and focused on telecommunications apps as well as data display.
Picked up Java along the way in a foray into creating games where I discovered my artistic vision was slight even for an engineer
However, the Java skills stuck and I use it in the Android environment.
I'm all over the map WRT what I'm doing in Java. Some data displays, video w/ overlays, TCP transmit/receive.
