Hello Android World

Android Enthusiast
Just upgraded from my ancient flip phone (over 4 years old!!!) and got my first smart phone - htc Aria.
New to the Android operating system and am very tech savvy but I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions.

I see in your devices you have a Nook Color rooted. I bought one of those for my Wife at Christmas. I have not rooted it yet because I want to wait and see what B&N does with their apps store (and my wife doesn't want me to yet). How do you like it rooted so far?

One of the nice things about rooting is that you can always un-do it. I rooted my NC for one reason only... to allow me to load a few non-B&N apps on the tablet. The first app I installed? The Amazon Kindle app! :p

So far the only thing I'm not liking about the Auto Nooter process is the soft buttons app that was loaded as part of it. Maybe it's just my big fingers but I can't seem to hit the little button on the screen without moving. Otherwise I'm quite happy with my rooted NC!! :D

Sorry to post ?'s here but is the Auto nooter pretty painless?

I'm actually trying to root my Aria to get a feel for it since I'm new to the Android world. Having some issues but so far I haven't bricked my phone. Once I get a feel for the root process and get my wife's permission I'll try to nook.
