Hi folks,
I just registered for this forum and am impressed with the obvious acumen exhibited in the several posts that I have read thus far.
I have recently come to the Droid OS after using a dozen or so other phones with various operating systems previously. Most of my other phones have been Palm OS based and I was pretty satisfied with them, the exception being the Palm Treo Pro which is the Windows OS version. I migrated to an EVO 4g primarily because of my negative experience with the Palm Pro.
Although I have never owned an iPhone, I am somewhat familiar with it because several colleagues and relatives use them. IMHO, the droid system offers a good deal greater capability and flexibility than the iPhone. I can readily see that my EVO is more easily customizable.
About me...I am a self employed designer, I teach part time at a local university and chair a trustee board of a non-profit organization providing health care for people who are medically under-served. And I am an avid technogeek, although I'm probably older than most of the subscribers to this forum. I am looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.
