Glad to officially join in. I've used these forums in the past when I had a less than stellar Droid but with my recent upgrade, I'd really like to learn how to use them. I'm a Windows user so the architecture of Android is confusing and hard to figure out. It just seems so hard to manipulate how the devices funtion (controlling app behavior, startup, memory management, etc.)
I have always wanted to try some different distros but up until now, this is the first Linux-type system I have tried. I'm sure they keep you out of the OS on purpose, but that drives me nuts!
And rooting is not something I will be into........yet. I did do it on my Huawei from Cricket but only because it was so limited.
Anyway, look forwarding to chatting with you folks. You definitely are the place to be for anything Droid! Great site!
