Hi David - welcome to the forums!
There is a lot of discussion about this phone going on at the moment. I see you too are in the UK - you'd need to decide on a network (not all networks appear to be offering ths Galaxy Nexus... there are conflicting views on whether or not Orange UK (my provider) will be doing so).
A good place to start, would be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus - Android Forums sub-forum, as other users of the phone should be able to give you some views based on their experiences!
